Spirit of Giving Award
The Las Patronas Spirit of Giving Award was instituted in 2003 to salute the strong partnerships that help Las Patronas fulfill its mission to aid San Diego’s nonprofit community. The purpose of this award is to publicly recognize a partnership with an individual or organization that has consistently supported the efforts and interests of Las Patronas. The award represents Las Patronas’ appreciation of the shared commitment to our ideals and the importance of the partnership over a significant period of time. The honored recipient demonstrates a unique relationship and spirit of giving that goes beyond structured donor opportunities.

Las Patronas is proud to give the 2018 Spirit of Giving Award to Village Nurseries. Since 2004, Village Nurseries has donated lush plants and trees to Las Patronas for use at the Jewel Ball. Village Nurseries allows Las Patronas to pre-select large quantities of their plants, trees and facilitates both delivery to and pick-up from the La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club. Their generosity enhances our guests’ experience year after year by bringing an organic beauty and thematic natural aesthetic that enriches our elaborate decor. The expert horticulturists at Village Nurseries, particularly Edna Coleman, are extremely knowledgeable about which plants are in season ensuring they will look their best for our August event.
Las Patronas will present Village Nurseries with the Spirit of Giving Award at the Viva La Vida beneficiary luncheon in January 2019. We are honored and ever grateful for their generosity and look forward to a continued partnership for many years to come. Thank you, Village Nurseries
