Las Patronas Legacy Society
The Legacy Society was established to honor and thank our members and community leaders who have included the Las Patronas Endowment Fund in their charitable bequests and estate plans. They have done so by naming Las Patronas as beneficiary to wills, living trusts, IRAs or other life-income gifts. We are honored to also welcome into the Legacy Society those who give a Direct Donation of $10,000 or more to the Las Patronas Endowment Fund. Legacy Society Members are recognized in the Las Patronas directory, website, annual newsletter, Jewel Ball program book, and with special recognition at the Legacy Society appreciation event.
We are pleased to announce the fifth annual Legacy Society Grant funded by proceeds from the Las Patronas Endowment Fund. This application was approved by a majority vote of Las Patronas members during the Fall 2020 grants selection and selected as a Legacy Society Grant based on the size of the request and the positive impact to the community. We are so very thankful for the many generous contributions to the Fund that made this possible!

Our Legacy Society is Proud to Support
With funds from Las Patronas Home Start will purchase an 8' by 12' Studio Shed to serve as an on-site therapy office/ program space. The shed will provide on-site office space for staff, as well as provide convenient, confidential space for various group and individual private therapy sessions for MHP residents and their children.
Home Start's Maternity Housing Program (MHP) provides stable housing and wraparound supportive services for homeless young mothers and their children. Our MHP is the first of its kind in San Diego to address homelessness specifically designed for pregnant/parenting young mothers and their children by providing affordable case-managed housing in an urban region that faces an extreme shortage of housing for low-income individuals and families. Mothers receive evidence-based parenting education, assistance with securing child-care, assistance with enrolling in college-level courses, counseling, personal health and nutrition education, substance abuse prevention, job training resources, independent living, and healthy relationship training.
