The Las Patronas Endowment Fund

The Las Patronas Endowment Fund was established in 1990

The Las Patronas Endowment Fund was established in 1990 to provide our members and community supporters an enduring way to support the charitable activities of Las Patronas. The Fund is a stable and permanent reserve that generates income that may be distributed to qualified beneficiaries via a Legacy Society Grant.

Planned Giving & the Legacy Society

The Fund allows Las Patronas to increase and diversify the way by which support is received – including estate planning and individual bequests. Supporters who include Las Patronas in their estate plan are recognized as a Las Patronas Legacy Society Member.

The Legacy Grant

For the first time in 2016, Las Patronas introduced a Legacy Society Grant endowment and planned givingmade possible from the proceeds of the Fund. The recipient of the first ever Legacy Society Grant is Big Sister League, Inc. The funds from the grant will be used to purchase a refrigerator and frost-free freezer for their transitional women’s home in San Diego. Las Patronas is very excited to fund a small award to this organization that supports women in need.

Please contact us if you are considering or have included Las Patronas in your estate planning.

Direct Donations to the Endowment

In addition to support received through planned giving, direct donations may also be made to the Fund in honor of or in memory of a loved one or in thanksgiving to acknowledge a milestone. Supporters who make a direct donation of $10,000 or more are recognized as a Las Patronas Legacy Society Member. You can mail a check to: Lauren Weiss, Investment Committee Chair, P.O. Box 1888, La Jolla, CA 92038-1888 or donate online.
